PARTICIPATION AND COMPETITIVE
FOOTBALL PROVISION
at REPTON SCHOOL
Alongside the Performance Programme, we run a far-reaching competitive football programme for all pupils at the school. This includes all aspects from a highly competitive 2nd XI, who will play many of their games against other schools' 1st XI teams, to football at a participation level for those who just love the game.
We believe in inclusivity and offering all who wish to play the chance to compete for either the School and their Boarding House.
There are twelve Boys Football teams (1st XI – 4th XI, U16A-B, U15A-C and U14A-C) and two Girls Football teams (1st XI and U15A).
In the Lent Term, we continue to run the Boys' 2nd XI side and a Development XI for players who might have played in the 3rd XI and U16 teams in the Michaelmas Term. This means that any footballer wishing to play for two terms will likely be able to do so.
The School's participation teams train two to three times per week with a game once a week. Most teams compete for one term of the school year (Boys in the Michaelmas Term and Girls in the Lent Term). This allows for a multisport annual schedule for those pupils who will then participate in the other main sport of the term outside their respective football term.
