The OR Society offers a great opportunity for networking and making new friends, as well as connecting with old ones. Our established community of OR Careers Ambassadors are on hand to offer advice and guidance to Upper Sixth pupils and younger ORs starting out on their career pathway – as well as ORs of any age looking to switch or re-think their careers. Our Ambassadors cover a variety of industry sectors: the profiles of some are showcased below, with many more available to connect with others.

Ruth Millington (Field 2000-05) is an art historian, curator and author, specialising in modern and contemporary art. She has written for various publications, including The i newspaper, The Telegraph, Radio Times and BBC Online. She has been featured as an art expert on TV and radio, including BBC Breakfast, Woman's Hour, Sky Arts and ITV News. Her first book Muse (Penguin 2022) uncovers the hidden figures behind art history's masterpieces. She is also an advocate for teaching Art History to children, leading her to write This Book Will Make You An Artist, published by Nosy Crow in 2024. |
Hannah Bond (Field 2013-18) is a Tailoring, Marketing and Creative Assistant working at Norton & Sons, Savile Row. She graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BA in Fashion Design and has since been involved in the exciting world of bespoke tailoring. During her time at Repton School, she found a true love for designing and making garments and since leaving, she won the Fashanne Womenswear Design Award, began a coat-making apprenticeship, designed and made racing kits for the Mille Miglia in Italy and has launched the new Norton & Sons Tailoring For Women line. Hannah has a true passion for design work and would love to help out ORs interested in the fashion field. |
Tori Murphy (Abbey 1993-98) has spent the past 13 years building a design-led fabric and homewares business committed to UK manufacturing. After leaving Repton, Tori earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Fine Art, followed by a Master’s in Textiles. Her products – ranging from cushions and blankets to kitchen textiles and other home accessories – are stocked globally, including at renowned retailers such as Harrods, Conran, Selfridges and more. |
Liam James Karai (New, 2011-16) began his career within opera whilst studying for a BSc in Banking and Finance at the University of Leicester. Whilst studying, he successfully applied for one of the University’s Music Scholarships. Liam’s passion for music grew and he went on to complete his Master of Music degree and Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal Northern College of Music. |
Alex Harold (Priory 2008-13) is the Founder and Creative Director at Alex&er Jewellery. Alex studied at Repton School until 2013 and then took a course in Interior Design and Architecture at Nottingham Trent University. Since then, he has followed a number of creative paths. As a fine artist, Alex created a series of artworks relating to metamorphosis. He has worked as a freelance photographer & videographer and graphic designer working for brands such as Bentley, Graze, Innovest and Lunar by Niall Keating Restaurant. In his current role at Alex&er Jewellery, Alex designs and curates new jewellery collections, oversees creative strategy, leads photo and video shoots from campaign through to product shoots. |

Molly (Mitre 2012-17) and Joshua (Priory 2015-20) graduated from Repton in 2017 and 2020 respectively, and continued on to university. Dissatisfied with the typical work routine, Molly, her partner Alex and Josh set out to offer a burger option in the student area of Birmingham. Molly and Alex ran the business, whilst Josh worked part time completing his degree in Business. Burger-Me-Up or BMU has quickly grown, adding a takeaway site after only six months of trading, then taking over a street food kitchen in Solihull. In October 2024, they opened their brand new site in Stirchley. |
Ire Hassan-Odukale (Latham House 2003-05) is the Co-Founder and co-owner of Ikoyi Restaurant in London. The two Michelin star restaurant combines spices from the sub-Saharan West Africa with British micro-seasonality, respecting the true nature of ingredients. |
Radha Kaushal-Bolland (Garden 2011-16) was actively involved in Hockey, as well as the Law and Debating Society during her time at Repton. After completing a Law degree, Radha’s passion for food led her to make a career change, and she went on to become a finalist on MasterChef. Her love for cooking inspired her to create The Spicy Flexitarian by Chef Rü, offering private chef services and a bespoke takeaway experience through Chef Rü At Home Service. Based in West Yorkshire and the surrounding areas, her private dining experience focuses on vegetarian Indian fine dining, reimagining classic vegetarian Indian flavours with a unique, modern twist. |
Chris Mapp (Orchard 1989-94), owner and Head Chef of the Tickled Trout in Barlow, Sheffield, runs a modern gastro pub celebrated for its emphasis on seasonal and locally sourced produce. The restaurant recently won the prestigious Best Pub Restaurant Chef Award at the 2024 Craft Guild of Chefs Awards. After being made redundant from his fist job out of university, Chris decided to embark on a new career in Michelin-starred kitchens, working alongside culinary legends such as Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing. |

Nicky Samra (New 2002-07) is a Marketing Specialist at ASICS EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), a leading premium running shoes and sportswear brand. In addition to this role, Nicky is the founder of FORME, a retailer of a modern-day supplement shaker, which has now sold over a million units worldwide. Nicky also runs the Old Reptonian Football Club. |
Jack Bywater (Cross 2011-16) utilised his video editing and production skills to work his way up to be the Brand Manager and Videographer of Ben Francis – Founder of Gymshark – the UK's fastest growing Gym wear manufacturer company. His current project includes Ben Francis – Founder of Gymshark’s new video series ‘Building a 100 Year Brand’. |
Lauren Archer (Garden 2013-18) is the PR & Marketing Manager for Victoria Beckham. Having completed her degree in English Literature, at the University of Exeter, she worked as an Account Executive with several companies and had clients such as Max Mara, Veuve Clicquot and Glossier. |
Charlotte Abell (Abbey 2014-19) is the Digital Growth Manager at Dunelm, a leading home furnishings retailer. Upon completing her Retail Leadership degree at The Manchester Metropolitan University, Charlotte began a Digital Degree Apprenticeship at Dunelm before working her way up. |
Eleanor (Mitre 2008-13) is a Producer for GB News. She graduated from Loughborough University in 2016 with a degree in Politics, and later returned to Repton as a Sports Assistant and then Marketing Assistant. Eleanor received a gold standard diploma in 2018 in her NCTJ journalism course, and went on to join Triangle News press agency as a news reporter, honing her writing skills for national newspapers. This won her the Denis Cassidy Award for Best Young Talent at the National Association for Press Agencies Awards. In 2018 she became a TV and Radio correspondent for the Daily Mail and in 2022 became a reporter for The Sun covering the Queen’s death, the Women’s Football World Cup and the war in Ukraine. With a passion to go into TV, Eleanor joined GB News in 2024 as a News Producer. |

Jack Pollard (Latham House 2013-18) went on to complete a Bachelor’s degree in History after leaving Repton. During his studies, he undertook an internship in the House of Commons under MP Johnny Mercer, an experience that sparked his passion for politics. This led him to pursue a career at the House of Commons, where he worked his way up to the role of Chief of Staff. |
Edward Burrell (Latham 1998-03) served as a commissioned officer in the British Army for six years, attending the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2009-10. His time in the British Army included an operational tour of Afghanistan in 2012 and training deployments in Germany, France, Israel, Kenya and the United States. After his military service Edward worked for a private security consulting firm, based in the Middle East, providing security intelligence analysis and assistance services to corporate clients around the world. He then spent two years as a high-risk advisor at the BBC, supporting international journalists and production teams operating in conflict zones and other high-risk environments. Edward is currently employed as the Director of Global Security for MSH, a US-based international healthcare development NGO with projects in countries such as Ukraine, Afghanistan, Haiti and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Manchester and an MSc in Security Studies from University College London. |
Swantje Green (Mitre 2003-08) has a diverse portfolio of advocacy and strategic communications experience in international and EU affairs. Following the completion of her degree and a Graduate Placement at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Swantje advanced within the European Council on Foreign Relations to the position of Head of Advocacy. |
